Our step-by-step guide focuses on cultivating proper playing techniques and enhancing note reading skills through interval recognition. The journey begins with Lesson Book Level 1A, which familiarizes students with the basic layout of the keyboard and ensures a fluent recognition of white keys in relation to black keys. The focus is on mastering simple rhythms and preparing students for intervallic reading with a collection of captivating songs that emphasize concepts like ‘sameness,’ ‘stepping up,’ and ‘stepping down.’
Moving forward, we introduce students to the lines and space notes in both treble and bass clefs, melodic and harmonic intervals of 2nds, 3rds, 4ths, and 5ths, eventually leading them to read on the grand staff. We also acquaint students with the flat and sharp signs. This course is designed to yield the best results when guided by a piano teacher or an experienced musician.
